It’s official, Tennessee Titans fans. With a new regime in the coaching staff taking over, there is a lot to be excited about for the Titans in 2026 and moving forward.
Robert Saleh, Brian Daboll, and Gus Bradley will be leading the team into 2026 and with the additions that Mike Borgonzi made this offseason, Tennessee is one of those teams that could create a lot of unexpected noise in the AFC South.
When Tennessee’s schedule dropped, one thing that stood out immediately is the fact that there are no primetime games as of right now. Obviously, those can always change as games get flexed every season but only for teams that are shining across the league. While the Titans have to live with the fact that right now they aren’t a premier contender, their schedule does them a lot of favors and NFL insider Jonathan Jones recently pointed out the reasons.
Tennessee Titans fans should be excited for 2026 schedule advantages
Jones specifically stated “I’m being 100% serious when I say no team has a better schedule than the Tennessee Titans." Jones went into details about how the Titans have a full week to prepare for each of their opponents, how their bye week in Week 9 is a solid landing place, and that they will only be no more than one hour outside of their timezone.
Not to mention, the Titans will start off their two first games of the season at home against the Jets and Eagles. Home field advantage will be the key to start out the season. In addition, the Titans will only spend no more than two games away from Nashville.
The lack of primetime games does look and feel disappointing, but it also gives the Titans the chance to truly prepare for their opponents in the best possible way. While primetime games are fantastic to watch as a fan, it can take a toll on players because the rest time for the next game can be shorter, which means limited recovery and increased risk of injury.
Titans fans can circle the matchups they definitely don’t want to miss. The season is approaching vastly with OTAs now underway, but we just have to get through the summer first which will feature training camp and the preseason.
