The Tennessee Titans revealed their entire 2025 season schedule in a league-wide coordinated affair on Wednesday evening. Prior to the official release, it was accurately reported that the Titans' Week 1 matchup will be a road date against the Denver Broncos.

That qualifies as a tough start, and upon the full reveal of the schedule, it became clear that No. 1 overall rookie QB Cam Ward must survive a gauntlet of difficult opponents to avoid immediate disaster.

QB Cam Ward needs to help Titans avoid immediate disaster in 2025

Following the Week 1 road showdown with Bo Nix and a tough Broncos defensive line, the Titans will return to Nashville for a Week 2 home opener against the Los Angeles Rams at Nissan Stadium. Sean McVay's competitive squad is coming off consecutive 10-win seasons and back-to-back playoff appearances. Expectations remain high for the Rams heading into 2025, who are still being spearheaded by Super Bowl LVI champion QB Matthew Stafford.

Week 3 versus the Indianapolis Colts at home may qualify as Tennessee's most winnable game in September. The Colts will be holding a quarterback position battle between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones. The Titans could have the early advantage over Shane Steichen's desperate team.

The relief could be short lived with the Titans then returning to the road for three contests in a row from Weeks 4-6. There are back-to-back division contests on the schedule with the Houston Texans, consecutive winners of the AFC South, being the follow-up opponent to the Colts. The Titans then venture into unfamiliar territory with trips to Arizona and Las Vegas in Weeks 5 and 6.

The Titans will rely on Ward to avoid a 2024-like stretch. Brian Callahan's Nashville-based club began last campaign with three consecutive defeats and never managed to recover. Hope has been renewed due to Ward's arrival under center. If the early portion of the schedule is any indication, the Titans will need Ward to steer clear of early-season rookie struggles.
