The NFL will release the complete 2025 season schedule on Wednesday evening. A handful of primetime and international games have been announced via social media. NFL insiders are also reporting ahead of the full reveal. Jordan Schultz is reporting the Tennessee Titans will open their 2025 campaign on the road against the Broncos in Denver.

No. 1 overall quarterback Cam Ward draws a difficult matchup in what should be his official NFL debut. The Broncos were surprise performers last season, qualifying for the playoffs through a 10-7 record. In fact, the 2024 Broncos are a source of inspiration for the Titans. Rookie QB Bo Nix positively altered the team's fortunes right away.
Nix is now entering his sophomore campaign with a well-rounded supporting cast around him. The matchup will pit first-round quarterbacks in consecutive drafts against one another. It'll provide Ward with the opportunity on a proper platform to make an impressive debut in Denver's regular late afternoon time slot.
Nix was the sixth quarterback drafted in a historically deep 2024 class. The Titans selected Ward at No. 1 in what critics universally agreed was a weaker crop of signal callers. If Ward can lead Tennessee to victory over Nix in Denver, the narrative surrounding Tennessee's decision could quickly start shifting.
The Broncos have historically been outstanding at home throughout the month of September. The Broncos are 83-34-2 in Denver during the month of September all-time, according to a tweet pointed out by The Music Audible's Justin Graver. The Titans will need to display mental toughness if they're to execute the upset.
The Titans actually opened their regular-season campaign in Denver just four years ago. Ryan Tannehill and Co. escaped with a 16-14 victory at Empower Field at Mile High. It was a sloppy affair. Tannehill threw for two touchdowns and Derrick Henry rushed for 116 yards. Kicker Stephen Gostkowski went 1-of-4 on field goal attempts, but nailed a game-winner with under a minute to play.
