The Tennessee Titans proved a lot of doubters wrong by using free agency to raise the floor of this roster without giving out any deals that had people shaking their heads.

With around a dozen signings so far, the Titans have made their team much better while helping reveal the identity they plan on having under Mike Borgonzi and Robert Saleh. However, the job is far from finished, and fans should expect more signings to trickle in over the next few days and weeks.

There seems to be a calm in the storm, and now it is a good time to take a breath and look over the roster to see what the Titans still need and which positions should be a priority. As things stand now, here are the top needs on the Titans board.

Resetting the Titans' offseason needs after first wave of NFL Free Agency

Interior Offensive Lineman

The Titans are set to pay Peter Skoronski, but he can only play one position at a time. If the Titans are content to let journeyman center Austin Schlottmann and second-year prospect Jackson Slater fight it out for the center job, that is a questionable decision. What makes it even more concerning is that the team still needs a right guard, so until they sign a veteran at center or guard, fans should be nervous about the current state of the interior offensive line.

EDGE

Jermaine Johnson is a very nice addition, and the interior duo of Jeffery Simmons and John Franklin-Myers will be so disruptive that the pass rush is already going to be much better in 2026. However, the Titans really need another proven starter (or high upside rookie) on the other side of the field.

Defensive Back

This is hard to define because Alontae Taylor is so versatile. If Taylor is a boundary corner, then the Titans need to find another nickel who can compete with Marcus Harris for that role and provide depth. There is also a chance that the Titans think that Kevin Winston can defend the slot in certain situations, in which case the Titans need to go get a safety who can start or work as a role player. Either way, the Titans need another quality defensive back.

Wide Receiver

There is a world where Calvin Ridley returns to the Titans, but it is much more likely that he is gone. If that happens, the Titans would be wise to target another receiver that can play on the boundary, whether that is a free agent that still hasn't found a home, or a Day 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Linebacker

Cody Barton was a tough watch last year, and the Titans' linebacker position could have a huge glow-up if they find someone to play next to Cedric Gray. Is that Bobby Okereke? Maybe, but the market seems to be taking shape at linebacker, so it should become evident soon how serious they are about improving that position.
