Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi has received promising contributions from his first draft class. No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward is looking like a franchise quarterback. A trio of fourth-round pass catchers have proven to be positive additions in Gunnar Helm, Chimere Dike, and Elic Ayomanor.
Dike recently made Titans and NFL history. Even some of the defensive picks appear to have futures in Tennessee. Safety Kevin Winston Jr. and cornerback Marcus Harris both looked like potential long-term starters before ending up on IR.
The one prospect from the Titans' 2025 draft class who currently looks like a questionable decision is second-round EDGE Femi Oladejo. The raw linebacker-turned-pass-rusher often looked like a Deer in headlights throughout the early stretch of his rookie campaign. Oladejo was placed on IR on October 14 and will enter his sophomore season as an unknown commodity.
Titans EDGE Femi Oladejo must avoid NFL Draft bust status in 2026
The Titans designated Oladejo to return to practice on December 17. Despite that, the 52nd overall selection was unsuccessful in his bid to play again this season. Oladejo has been ruled out of Sunday's Week 18 regular-season finale versus the Jacksonville Jaguars, meaning he missed an additional three games from the time his 21-day practice window was activated.
Oladejo will conclude his rookie season having appeared in six games. The Senior Bowl standout registered 13 tackles and zero sacks. Pro Football Focus credited Oladejo with seven pressures and a lackluster pass-rushing grade of 52.4.
The Titans enter the offseason needing to revamp the EDGE position. Veterans Arden Key and Jihad Ward are pending free agents, and Oladejo hasn't been productive enough to guarantee himself a starting role on next year's defense. The Titans will need to acquire two instant contributors at EDGE through free agency and the draft. They'll then hope Oladejo takes a developmental step forward as a rotational rusher.
