The Tennessee Titans fell to an NFL-worst 0-3 following Sunday's 41-20 Week 3 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. It was yet another embarrassing performance at Nissan Stadium. The Titans have now dropped nine consecutive contests dating back to the 2024 campaign, six at home.
The Titans were trailing 17-3 at the conclusion of the opening quarter and never clawed back. Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. spoke with the media after the game. Pittman made comments that are an indictment of the Brian Callahan era.
Coach Callahan is now an abysmal 3-17 in 20 games as the head coach. Pittman noticed the Titans lacked energy during the pregame workout. Pittman and the Colts believed the Titans weren't interested in playing football on Sunday, and their performance proved him correct.
Colts WR Michael Pittman Jr. noticed how poorly coached the Titans are in Week 3
"Saw it on the pre-game intros. They kinda looked a little sluggish, they were kinda walking around, nobody was really bouncing. Right then and there we all sat there and were like 'They don't want to play today.'"

Rookie quarterback Cam Ward threw a pick-six on his second passing attempt. He was sacked on four occasions by a Colts defense that entered Sunday ranked 32nd in pass-rush-win-rate, per ESPN Analytics. Ward has now been sacked an NFL-high 15 times, as the Titans' coaching staff can't figure out how to protect their No. 1 overall quarterback.
The Titans were outgained 365-282. They were whistled for eight penalties, bringing their season total to a league-high 23 accepted infractions. They faced a 3rd-and-nine-or-longer nn their opening three offensive possessions.
Colts running back Jonathan Taylor rushed for a 46-yard touchdown during the third quarter that extended his team's lead to 34-13. Taylor broke multiple tackles en route to the end zone, as the Titans' tackling effort reflected the lack of energy Pittman Jr. noted pre-game. The Titans have allowed a run of 45-plus yards in every game this season.
The Titans' rebuild is totally off the rails. Struggles were expected, but the Titans appear undisciplined, unprepared, and downright sloppy. It's a reflection of Callahan's shortcomings. Opponents are starting to take notice.
