The Tennessee Titans selecting quarterback Cam Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft was a mortal lock, but it didn't take long after that for Mike Borgonzi to prove himself someone who can turn this team around.
Despite coming into this draft with holes on the defensive line and at wide receiver, Borgonzi was able to restock the cupboards and give Ward plenty of tools to work with in his rookie season.
Looking at every pick Tennessee made this Draft, it is very clear that Borgonzi achieved the main goal of finding both adequate value and checking all the positional need boxes at the same time.
Grading every Titans 2025 draft pick (with 1 bold prediction for each)
Round 1, Pick 1: Cam Ward, QB, Miami
This was the most obvious pick of the entire draft, Ward projects as a high-end starter who can help reverse decades of poor play at the quarterback position in Tennessee if his strong arm and playmaking skills translate.
Prediction: Ward wins Rookie of the Year while throwing for 4,000 yards and 20 touchdowns in his first season. Grade: A
Round 2, Pick 52: Oluwafemi Oladejo, EDGE, UCLA
While Oladejo is a bit of a reach due to how raw he is as a pass rusher, the fact that the Titans drafted a premium athlete to help fill their pass rush hole could lead to a very productive season from the former inside linebacker if he is put in positions to use his speed.
Prediction: Oladejo has more sacks than any non-first round edge rusher this season. Grade: B
Round 3, Pick 82: Kevin Winston Jr, SAF, Penn State
Winston would have likely been a Top 50 pick if he stayed healthy this season. A hard hitter who covers more ground in zone coverage than one would think, Winston could be a starter very early in Tennessee if he comes back with a clean bill of health.
Prediection: Winston ties L'Jarius Sneed for the team lead in interceptions as a rookie. Grade: A-
Round 4, Pick 103: Chimere Dike, WR, Florida
Dike may not be the most versatile receiver in the world, but it's easy to see how Borgonzi can envision a world where Dike uses his great downfield speed and ball-tracking ability to end up on the receiving end of a few bombs from Ward.
Prediction: Dike averages just under 20 yards per catch in his rookie season. Grade: C+
Round 4, Pick 120: Gunnar Helm, TE, Texas
Helm is a very limited athlete at the tight end position, but he does just about everything else well. Helm's blocking and soft hands in the red zone could be all Ward needs to see before he connects with him.
Prediction: Helm ends up overtaking Chig Okonkwo as the starting tight end by the end of the year. Grade: B
Round 4, Pick 136: Elic Ayomanor, WR, Stanford
Ayomanor making it out of the first two rounds was a minor surprise, let alone lasting until pick No. 136 overall. Physical, fast, and smart, Ayomanor is one drop-issue cure away from becoming a solid starter in the pros.
Prediction: Ayomanor becomes WR3 by the end of the season and has more overall production than Dike. Grade: A
Round 5, Pick 167: Jackson Slater, IOL, Sacramento State
Slater bulldozed FCS competition last season, and his tremendous power should help him make the big leap from Sacramento State to the NFL.
Prediction: The Titans will let Kevin Zeitler walk in free agency and Slater gets serious consideration to start in 2026. Grade: B+
Round 6, Pick 178: Marcus Harris, CB, Cal
Harris needs to work on making his ball skills better, but he is one of the best tackling defensive backs in this class and has a future as a possible Pro Bowl special teamer.
Prediction: Harris becomes the team's dime cornerback and tallies two interceptions this season. Grade: B+
Round 6, Pick 188: Kalel Mullings, RB, Michigan
Close enough, welcome back Hassan Haskins. Mullings is a power back who could become a decent sledgehammer in short yardage situations.
Prediction: Mullings makes the final 53-man roster: Grade: C+
