Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi totally reshaped his cornerback room in NFL free agency. The Titans signed three new players, committing about $113 million to the new additions. Among the acquisitions expected to start on the outside was former New York Giants cornerback Cor'Dale Flott.

It was a three-year, $45 million contract for Flott. The Titans promised him $32 million in full guarantees. That highlights how excited the Titans are about having Flott help defend the boundary in Robert Saleh's scheme.

Titans fans may be generally unfamiliar with Flott, who played in the NFC. Titan Sized recently spoke with Giants expert Matt Sidney of GMen HQ. Sidney says the Titans are getting an absolute gem in Flott.

Giants expert says Titans are getting a stud in CB Cor'Dale Flott

"Cor’Dale Flott is a dawg," Sidney said. "It's his high motor and tenacious play that helped him beat out Deonte Banks for a starting role in 2025, leading to his breakout season in the process. He’s quietly one of the more impactful corners in the NFL, holding opposing quarterbacks to a 61.4 passer rating last season, which ranked fifth among corners. The still-only-24-year-old cornerback has come a long way since being drafted in the third round in 2022. Flott has gone from a relatively raw prospect to a reliable starting cornerback, and the Titans are getting a real stud in the former LSU standout."

Pro Football Focus assigned Flott a 68.1 grade in coverage last season. He's competitive despite having a slender frame and lacking desirable length or wingspan at the position. It's Flott's tenacity that has helped him develop into a legitimate starter.

Borgonzi relied on familiarity with the coaching staff while spending aggressively in free agency. Flott's head coach with the Giants was new Titans offensive coordinator Brian Daboll. One of the Titans' defensive backs coaches, Marquand Manuel, coached Flott in New York, also having previously worked for both Daboll and Saleh.

The Flott addition appears primed to be an excellent one for the Titans.
