The Tennessee Titans are excited about their starting offensive tackle duo of Dan Moore and JC Latham. Moore was signed to a lucrative contract in free agency to solve the recurring left tackle problem. Latham is moving to his natural right-sided position, and showed up to training camp with a transformed frame.

Behind Moore and Latham, the Titans held a wide-open competition at swing tackle. Former sixth-round draft pick Jaelyn Duncan entered camp as the favorite to be the reserve tackle. His competitors included rookie UDFA Brandon Crenshaw-Dickson, John Ojukwu, and Oli Udoh.

Udoh probably entered camp with the least amount of fanfare among the options. Signed in April to little reaction, Udoh wasn't initially expected to even make the team. But after an unexpected surge throughout the preseason, he climbed the depth chart and became the Titans' No. 3 tackle.

Veteran OT Oli Udoh forced the Titans to rewrite their depth chart

Udoh initially entered the league as a sixth-round selection of the Minnesota Vikings during the 2019 NFL Draft. He played out his four-year rookie contract in Minnesota before joining the New Orleans Saints in 2024. The Titans signed Udoh in April, after assistant general manager Dave Ziegler got to know him in New Orleans last season.

Udoh probably entered camp as the Titans' fifth or sixth tackle, but look at how they've treated their other offensive tackles since. Duncan was waived, with the Titans calling quits on his development. Ojukwu was waived and re-signed to the practice squad, and Crenshaw-Dickson was kept on the 53-man roster, but isn't ready for meaningful snaps anytime soon.

The Titans listed Udoh as their backup left tackle on the unofficial Week 1 depth chart. He surged up the depth chart to replace Duncan and Ojukwu as the swing tackle. Udoh was one of the Titans' most surprising offseason performers heading into Week 1.
