The Tennessee Titans totally revamped their cornerback room this offseason. It was a necessity after general manager Mike Borgonzi traded Roger McCreary and Jarvis Brownlee in-season last year. After releasing L'Jarius Sneed earlier this summer, Borgonzi needed to get aggressive by making free-agency additions.

That's precisely what the Titans did. They committed roughly $113 million to a trio of free-agent cornerbacks in Alontae Taylor, Cor'Dale Flott, and Joshua Williams. Flott and Taylor will start on the outside of Robert Saleh's defense, with Williams playing a crucial reserve role.

Sophomore Marcus Harris should be the every-down nickel. That puts the Titans at four surefire cornerbacks on the 53-man roster. With competition for the fifth (and possibly sixth?) spot, don't underestimate returning cornerback Micah Robinson.

Titans cornerback Micah Robinson is sleeper pick to make 53-man roster

Robinson was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He did not make their 53-man roster, but immediately re-signed to the practice squad. The Titans claimed Robinson off the Packers' practice squad in October.

With so many late-season injuries in a wasted campaign, Robinson actually got on the field for the Titans. The former Furman and Tulane standout played 66 defensive snaps. Robinson played 61 total snaps in the Week 18 finale, where Pro Football Focus claimed he allowed just five receptions on 10 targets for 86 yards and zero touchdowns.

Robinson looked like he belonged. That's half the battle for a rookie practice squad player who gets an opportunity to compete. If Robinson can carry that momentum to Titans training camp, he could potentially convince Borgonzi and Saleh he deserves a 53-man roster spot.

Robinson will face loads of competition from undrafted cornerbacks. The Titans signed three undrafted cornerbacks, including Latrell McCutchin Sr. and Jalen McMurray. Borgonzi is obviously looking for better back-end depth, which essentially issues an open challenge to a returning player like Robinson.

Robinson is an intriguing prospect at Titans OTAs, and he's been getting lots of reps early. This represents his first offseason in Tennessee since he was a midseason addition, and he's also trying to endear himself to Saleh and defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. The indication last year was that Robinson is an NFL-caliber defender.
