The Tennessee Titans need to add talent on both sides of the ball this offseason. While Cam Ward showed flashes of encouraging play in his rookie season, he doesn't have much of a supporting cast around him moving forward. The Titans will be looking to bring in a few more cornerstone pieces on offense, and that starts with the 2026 NFL Draft.
There are a few different directions Tennessee could take with the fourth overall pick. They could add a top wide receiver to pair with Ward, or they could take a star defender. But with J.C. Latham and Dan Moore already in place, nobody would expect them to draft an offensive tackle in the first round.
Nobody except Daniel Jeremiah, that is. The NFL Draft expert just released his first mock draft of 2026, and he has the Titans shocking the rest of the league by selecting Miami offensive tackle Francis Mauigoa with the fourth pick.
Daniel Jeremiah has Titans taking Miami OT Francis Mauigoa in his latest mock draft
Tennessee has poured immense resources into rebuilding its offensive line in recent years. The Titans drafted Latham in the top ten just two years ago, then signed Moore to a hefty contract in free agency last offseason. While the two haven't been perfect, it's hard to justify spending another early draft pick on the position.
But Jeremiah has the Titans doing just that. He justified his selection of Mauigoa, saying, "This offseason is about helping Cam Ward take the next step, and that starts with doing a better job of protecting him. Mauigoa has excellent size/strength and still has room to develop."
Mauigoa is one of the top prospects in the class. He's strong in both pass protection and run blocking and has the lateral agility to stick with the NFL's explosive pass rushers. He showcases powerful hands, often knocking defenders off their spot. He could even play guard if needed, though it would be surprising to see a team spend a top-five pick on a player they expect to use at that position.
There's no denying that the Titans could use an upgrade somewhere along the offensive line. Ward was under pressure far too often last season. But with such a glaring need at wide receiver and pass rusher, and a few top pass catchers and EDGEs still on the board, it would be surprising to see them take an offensive lineman this early.
