Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Cam Ward called the offense's performance "mid" after Wednesday's first training camp practice of the year. Thursday's session was similar, with veteran linebacker Cody Barton snagging an interception on another day won by the defense. Saturday's practice occurred at Nissan Stadium, bringing fresh new energy to training camp.
Ward relished the moment, putting forth an epic showing.
Titans head coach Brian Callahan used the session to work on in-game scenarios. Silent counts and third-down situations made up chunks of the practice script. Ward aced most tests with flying colors.

The budding relationship between Ward and Calvin Ridley has been well documented. The two connected on several occasions Saturday. The most notable rep saw Ward escape pressure to his left and unleashed a bomb to Ridley for an explosive gain, per Turron Davenport.
Ward and Ridley teamed up for at least three big-time completions during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11, according to A to Z Sports.
One of Ward's most impressive throws saw him thread the needle in between three Titans defenders to veteran wideout Tyler Lockett. The rep was captured below by the Titans' social media team.

Early in the session, Ward connected with Ridley and Van Jefferson for back-to-back conversions on third down, per the team's social media. Ward was decisive and accurate, with the offense consistently moving the chains during scripted third-down plays. It was easily Ward's best practice showing of camp so far.

In one negative play, Ward was intercepted by former Miami linebacker James Williams. It was a big-time play by the sophomore linebacker, who is competing for a starting job. Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons mocked Ward by using his celebration against him after the play, per Davenport.
Ward's third practice of training camp was undeniably his best, and it happened at Nissan Stadium. The Titans will begin practicing in pads (real football) next week. It'll be worth monitoring Ward's offseason progress as the calendar wanes forward.
