The Tennessee' Titans front office entered this offseason with the intention of cleaning house. Following numerous free-agent signings, assembling a new coaching staff, and even a few trades, this team enters 2026 completely revamped. These are the five offseason additions we expect to make an immediate impact this upcoming season.
John Franklin-Myers, DT
The Titans signed defensive tackle John Franklin-Myers to come in and bolster this defensive front. Myers' intensity is likely to shine next to his new All-Pro teammate Jeffrey Simmons, specifically as an elite run defender. His ability to play both interior defensive line and EDGE offers promising flexibility, and scheme familiarity is a big plus as well.This defensive front is projected to take a significant step forward, and Myers is large reason for that.
Alontae Taylor, CB
The Titans signed three cornerbacks, but it is clear that Alontae Taylor will be this team's CB1 in 2026. Taylor has shifted around from slot corner to the outside nearly his whole career, so stability at outside should could help advance his skillset. He brings tremendous length followed by elite run-defense skills, and his presence will make an immediate impact that Titans fans will be grateful for. After a 2025 season filled with injuries and busted coverages, the bar is low for success in this cornerback room.
Carnell Tate, WR
This offseason was filled with much debate and discussion regarding Carnell Tate's ability to shine as a WR1 due to his WR2 role in Ohio State's offense this past season. Regardless of the media's opinion, he was drafted fourth overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. GM Mike Borgonzi and OC Brian Daboll made this decision in tandem with the belief that Tate can elevate this offense and help QB Cam Ward, and we expect him to be an immediate difference-maker.
Austin Schlottmann, C
This choice may be a head-scratcher for some, but Austin Schlottman is a better football player than some realize. The 30-year-old veteran has built a career as a reliable backup lineman, specifically last season under Titans current offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo in New York. Schlottmann has certainly earned this starting opportunity, and the bar for improvement is low following former center Lloyd Cushenberry's disappointing 2025 season.
Brian Daboll, Offensive Coordinator
After the mishaps and errors of the Brian Callahan offense over the last two seasons, this team was long overdue for simply an average coordinator. They got that and much more in former NY Giants HC Brian Daboll. Daboll offers a high floor as an experienced play-caller, and there should be an immediate step up from the Callahan era offensively. There's also a fair argument that this could possibly be the best skill room that he has ever worked with as a play-caller.
