Franchise value is a tricky thing and even the best teams in the NFL aren’t worth what you think they are. For example, the Buffalo Bills are the least valuable team in the NFL, the Cincinnati Bengals are one spot above them, the Tennessee Titans are 26th while the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the L.A. Chargers can’t even crack the top 20.

However, Nashville is one of the most popular cities in America right now and they have long been rumored to be in the mix for another major sports franchise whether that is MLB, NBA, or WNBA.

While the city waits to see which franchise they will rally behind next, there might be good news about the value of their biggest franchise, the Tennessee Titans.

According to a recent report, a new stadium could raise the value of the franchise from $2.6 billion to $3 billion (or more).

Why should Tennessee Titans fans care?

Amy Adams Strunk has quickly become a fan favorite and she has constantly had a finger on the pulse of the Tennessee Titans fan base. When she took over this team they were in the middle of the worst two-year stretch in franchise history and she was faced with a roster that was both apathetic and just pathetic.

Her first major moves as the new owner were to fire Ken Whisenhunt and promote Mike Mularkey during the season.  She followed that up by hiring Jon Robinson to be the General Manager and the rest is history.

What people don’t always remember is that she also took over a team that had pretty mediocre to bad facilities, and no one in the NFL really even cared about the franchise.

When she hired Jon Robinson, the two came up with a multi-step plan to revamp the image of the Titans and that included new practice facilities, locker rooms, stadium amenities, and offices for the front office members.

Those changes were enacted quickly and allowed Jon Robinson to attract the right free agents in his first season. That led to instant success and the team has had winning records every year that Robinson has been in charge, stacking up an incredible 59-38 record despite changes at head coach and quarterback.

The team is now in a healthy place with a roster layered with talent across the depth chart, but what they don’t have is public notoriety. They don’t get favorable coverage in the media because frankly, they aren’t one of the most valuable franchises in the league and Nashville hasn’t grown into a “big market” yet.

A new stadium instantly increases the value of the franchise and brings eyes to the team. If the Tennessee Titans can continue to be contenders on the field through (and hopefully beyond) the 2025 season, then the value, roster, and visibility should be right for this franchise to finally get the attention that they deserve.

As strange as it may seem Amy Adams Strunk taking over as the owner of the franchise was the first domino to fall in a process that could and should end up with the Tennessee Titans being one of the most popular teams in the NFL in 2026.

For all the fans that get mad about the lack of national attention and the disrespect, this is the chance for all of that to change.
