3 Crucial Tennessee Titans notes fans can take from Kevin Byard
By Will Lomas

Amani Hooker is a playmaker for the Tennessee Titans.
Earlier this week, in an article on Titan Sized about how Amani Hooker drew praise from Head Coach Mike Vrabel, we saw the beginning of what should be a pretty common theory. The hype train keeps chugging along as his fellow safety showed him some love today:
#Titans' Byard: Has been very impressed with Amani Hooker so far ... Offensively, has been impressed with some of young receivers like Fitzpatrick, McMath, Batson and Hollister.

This shouldn’t be a surprise, after all, Hooker was tied for the lead in interceptions for the Tennessee Titans last year and he only started three games. Still, it is worth noting because the team put a lot of responsibility on Hooker’s shoulders this offseason.
Not only did they move on from Kenny Vaccaro who had been one of the Tennessee Titans’ most consistent and versatile defensive backs since he was signed, but they didn’t draft another safety until the sixth round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
In his first season as a starter, it is important that he and Byard develop chemistry and by all accounts, the two are working really well together already.
The gap between Ryan Tannehill and the other quarterbacks in the AFC South is massive until Trevor Lawrence proves that he is worth his reputation, and having two ballhawks on defense would be huge for Tennessee.
