There’s still buzz surrounding the Tennessee Titans’ chances at landing Jones.

Soon, the Tennessee Titans will be participating in OTAs for the first time since the 2019 season, and there will be plenty of storylines to watch. Many of their position groups have questions that need answering, and as you might expect, eyes will be glued to their receiving corps.

On paper, the Titans have their starting trio in A.J. Brown, Josh Reynolds, and Dez Fitzpatrick, but that hasn’t stopped people from connecting the dots between Tennessee and other wide receivers.

One move that almost makes too much sense is the Atlanta Falcons trading Julio Jones to the Titans for a top-100 draft pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. As recently as Thursday morning, reports have surfaced that state the Falcons are actively shopping their All-Pro talent because of their salary cap constraints.

Simply put, the Titans may want a dynamic WR2 opposite A.J. Brown, and the Falcons may have the perfect option. However, the connections between all of these parties go deeper than that. Former Tennessee Titans OC Arthur Smith spent a decade with the team and knows exactly how to pitch Julio Jones to the front office and his former coaching staff.

Titans star receiver A.J. Brown grew up watching and idolizing Julio Jones. That is a respect level that continues to this day. Just look at what he tweeted less than a month ago:

There isn’t another locker room in the NFL where Julio Jones would walk in and instantly have as much credibility as he would in Tennessee.
