3 free agent LB’s for the Titans.

We already covered the 3-4 OLB’s/4-3 DE’s that the Tennessee Titans should sign, so in this article, we will be talking about off-ball linebackers.

While the pass-rushing free agent class is loaded with talent, the same cannot be said for this class of free agent linebackers. For the most part, this group of free agent LB’s is full of special teamers and guys who have been average, at best. The question is, do the Titans even have a need at this position?

Well, probably the best free agent LB this year is Jayon Brown, who has been a solid starter for the Titans for a few seasons now. If the team chooses to let Brown walk, they would be hard-pressed to find a better option in FA this year. But that’s not to say Brown was great last season- Brown uncharacteristically struggled before having his season ended to injury.

Rashaan Evans, who started beside Brown for the Titans, also struggled in 2020. Evans and Brown both ended the year with average-to-below-average PFF ratings. This could be a scheme issue, as the duo had been borderline-elite before 2020.

The team could allow Brown to walk after a disappointing year, or they could bet on him returning to form. Let’s take a look at a couple free agent LB’s the Titans could target.
