2. Ryan Tannehill, QB

Now here’s where it gets a little obvious- but I can’t help who the most valuable players were.

More from Titan Sized

Not to throw stones, but at some point, we have to wonder where this team would be if they were still quarterbacked by Marcus Mariota.

All Ryan Tannehill has done since being the starter is break franchise records and win games. In 2020, Tannehill threw for 33 TD’s and 3,819 yards, while adding 7 rushing TD’s. The constant threat of a downfield pass from Tannehill is a huge contributing factor to the success of the teams’ running game.

For the first time since perhaps the prime years of Steve McNair, the Titans have a passer who scares opponents and can carry the team to a win. If you don’t think that teams started to respect Tannehill, just look at one of the last touchdowns of the 2020 season when Tannehill faked a quarterback keep and Derrick Henry walked in for a touchdown against the Houston Texans.

Another factor of Tannehill’s game: he only threw 7 INT’s all season. Not committing killer turnovers has been a huge key to Tannehill’s success in Nashville and it is a massive part of why this team won games despite one of the worst defenses in professional football.

Tannehill might not be the flashiest QB in the league, but he gets the job done, and this team would not be 11-5 without him.
