Tennessee Titans continue to play musical chairs at cornerback

Let’s not be Arthur Smith and get too cute here (insert audience laugh track here), there are four cornerbacks who need to be active no matter what.

Malcolm Butler
-Butler has been worth every penny since the Titans signed him a few years back, and this season was no different with him needing to wear a bunch of different hats. Lately (and when the defense has played their best football) Butler has been shadowing WR1s and taking on the other team’s best receiver.
Desmond King
-The Titans tried to get cute and put King on the bench at times this past week, just to see if Adoree Jackson could play in the slot consistently. First of all, he can’t. Second of all, that just led to Tye Smith getting beaten on the outside over and over, like an annoying song stuck in your head. He should be the slot CB every snap that they need one this season.
Adoree Jackson
-The fastest cornerback that the Titans have and the should-be CB1 on this team for the next five years. They need Adoree healthy and with as many game reps as possible heading into the postseason.
Chris Milton
-I don’t know if this is a surprise name or not, but Milton is a stud on special teams, and even though he doesn’t play a single lick of defense, he is worth that roster spot because of his ability to get down the field in a second and cover kicks well on punts and kickoffs.
