The headlines were about Johnathan Joseph being cut and Tye Smith and Kristian Fulton going to I.R. When it wasn’t that, it was a barrage of “When will Adoree Jackson be back?” tweets. However, quietly the Titans had a plan in mind and that plan was to give the 25-year-old journeyman a shot.
Borders locked up his matchup, not giving up a touchdown for the fourth straight game. Repeating common mistake teams have made since Borders entered the lineup, Philip Rivers tried to take advantage of him and targeted Borders six times.
However, the cornerback allowed only two catches for 22 yards. He also had an interception and a pass deflection that was really just a dropped pick-six that he would have walked in for what would have been his first career turnover.
Breon Borders is making sure his name is known, and he’s doing a pretty good job.
