24. Dallas Cowboys (+0)

The Cowboys almost got elevated in these rankings just because the week without them really made them look better. I don’t think that Dallas is good by any stretch, but the rest of the NFC East is also putrid, so I keep thinking “How bad can the Cowboys be?”

Unfortunately, I quickly remember every game without Dak Prescott (except last week when they were robbed), and then I stop rationalizing their spot in the power rankings.

23. Cincinnati Bengals (-1)

The biggest takeaway from this game for me is that for the first time all season I am not convinced that the Bengals are going to reunite Joe Burrow with Ja’marr Chase in the 2021 NFL Draft.

Tee Higgins looks like he can be the WR1 in that system and maybe that pick would be better spent on a player on defense who felt the need to help Carl Lawson make opposing QB’s feel uncomfortable.

Even if Takk McKinley is able to help the defense and earn a new contract this offseason, they should shift their attention to cornerback or linebacker (Micah Parsons *insert eye emoji*) to help take some of the pressure off of Joe Burrow.
