1. Stephen Gostkowski, K

Similar to Raymond, Gostkowski was also included in my article about the Titans who need to bounce back. And boy did Gostkowski answer.

Gostkowski was incredible today and he went 6-6 on FG’s, and that involved going 3-3 on 50+ yarders, including a game-clinching 55 yarder. This is why a veteran kicker is important and it is why fans were very nervous with Greg Joseph as the primary kicker heading into the season.

Does anybody think he, Cody Parkey, or Cairo Santos could’ve replicated this performance today? It was easy to be down on Gostkowski after the dreadful week 1 performance, but he has more than redeemed himself to this point.

To Vrabel’s credit, he never lost faith in Gostkowski, and always seemed sure that Gost would figure it out. Well two weeks later, the Titans are 3-0, thanks in large part to the incredible kicking of Gostkowski.

Last season, the Titans were scared to settle for field goals, and rightfully so. This season, it seems like Vrabel has full confidence in his kicker, and so far it has paid dividends for the team. A kicker who is reliable from 50+ yards is a weapon, and the Titans finally have one.
