The Titans 2020 Offseason:

Compare what Houston lost in free agency to Tennessee’s 2020 offseason. After an unexpected run through the playoffs, one where the Titans were able to dethrone the reigning Super Bowl champions and the consensus favorite to represent the AFC in the playoffs– Tennessee managed to bring back their key contributors to long term deals. Ryan Tannehill is back. Derrick Henry is back. And the biggest losses from 2019’s roster, Jack Conklin and Logan Ryan, have been replaced with high-upside rookies in Isaiah Wilson and Kristian Fulton.

But even with the massive losses taken on defense, and the draft picks traded that could have been used to patch up those holes, the Texans were still the AFC South team to beat with a division-leading 10-6 record. Even a game-changing 2019 offseason for Tennessee wasn’t enough to upend Houston after their disastrous one.

But one move made in the 2020 offseason is the one that could finally sink the Houston Texans, and give the Tennessee Titans the chance to take the throne for the first time since 2008; The DeAndre Hopkins trade.
