Major stat leaders

Finally, I thought I would run through the leaders in the major stats and talk about whether or not I agreed with them and whether or not they changed since the July version of these projections.

WR/TE receptions: A.J. Brown

-This is the right call and I think he nailed that, except give him some more yards.

RB receptions: tie between Derrick Henry and Darryton Evans

-For all the talk about Henry trying to be more of a receiver, I agree with this. I think they will get similar targets and catches despite a clear difference in total snaps. This is a change from July when Henry was the leader.

More from Titan Sized

DL sacks: Daquan Jones

-I think this was a bad change and that he should have kept his July numbers with Jeffery Simmons being the leader on the DL. In fact, his projection for Simmons as a whole has dropped with him now being less effective as a pass rusher than Jack Crawford.

Total sacks: Jadeveon Clowney

-I don’t think Clowney leads the Titans in sacks, but I think he will be very effective. Give the nod to Landry or even a DPR like Roberson or Vic Beasley, but I’m skeptical that Clowney is going to have a career year as a pass rusher in Tennessee.

Interceptions: Malcolm Butler

-This stayed the same, but I am still never going to bet against Kevin Byard to lead the Tennessee Titans in interceptions considering he is the best ball hawk in the NFL over the last three years, regardless of position.
