2. Jacksonville Jaguars

After what must have been a real rollercoaster ride for Jaguars fans in regards to their team’s plans with Leonard Fournette, it seems as though the team has settled on keeping their 2017 first-round pick on the roster.

And for as talent-starved as Jacksonville is on the offensive side of the ball, it’s probably in their best interest that they kept Fournette around. With apologies to the Ryquell Armstead truthers of the world, the Jaguars running back group is essentially a one-man show.

But to Jacksonville’s credit, it was a solid show in 2019. Fournette hasn’t lived up to the lofty standard of being a top-five draft pick, but he’s put together two solid seasons with the Jaguars that saw him break 1,000 yards on the ground in 2017 and 2019. And as recently as this season, Fournette has become a solid pass-catcher out of the backfield, finishing with 76 catches last year.

Possibly the biggest knock on the Jaguars running back group was how rarely they were able to find the endzone. Despite rushing for the seventh-most yards in the NFL last year with 1,152, Fournettewas able to turn just three of his 265 carries into touchdowns. Making him the ONLY Jaguar in 2019 to turn in a rushing touchdown (in case anyone was wondering, three total rushing touchdowns was the lowest in the NFL).

But what Fournette lacked in scoring ability he made up for with how much he moved the ball. Jacksonville might not have the depth of the Colts running back group, but they do have a player more proven than Jonathan Taylor or Marlon Mack.
