3 UDFAs the Tennessee Titans should consider signing
By Will Lomas
BPA: David Woodward LB, Utah State
The consensus best player left available seems to be David Woodward a linebacker from Utah State.
I went back and watched him for this and I think that he could earn a spot on an NFL roster, but he has a very specific skillset.
Similar to former Tennessee Titan and current Bussin’ with the Boys megastar Will Compton, Woodard is probably going to find his role as a special teamer and a guy who can play on 1st and 2nd down in the NFL.

While he seems to hustle to the ball and try to find ways to stay active on every play, he really does his best work between the tackles or when he can be the backside linebacker on outside run plays.
I would assume that the goal for year one would be to sign him and put him on the practice squad to bulk him up a little bit and to let him give you looks as a cerebral off-ball linebacker. Then in year two, he could compete with other backup linebackers for that special teams/sub-package role if you wanted to go that route.
All in all, I don’t think he was a player who should have been drafted but unless there are health issues with teams, I don’t see why someone hasn’t already given him a shot to compete for a role like the one I described above yet.
