4th Round Picks

Well this is an easy one.

Believe it or not, Robinson has only used his fourth-round pick once in four years.

Amani Hooker is the lone fourth-rounder selected by Robinson, so he wins this one by default. Not to say Hooker is a bad player, as he has promise. It has been speculated that perhaps Hooker could replace Logan Ryan.

If Robinson and Vrabel believe Hooker is up to the task, he could end up being great value for a fourth-rounder.

Even if Hooker doesn’t turn in to the next Logan Ryan, he still seems to be a good value pick. Robinson and Vrabel love their special teams contributors, and Hooker is a perfect example of that. Hooker collected 19 tackles in his rookie season, mostly in a special teams and defensive back reserve role.

Expect Hooker to compete for the nickel-corner job, especially if Ryan signs elsewhere. I’m sure many teams would be happy to land a player like Hooker in the fourth round.
