What are some moves that Tennessee Titans fans aren’t expecting?

Yesterday I wrote about how history has shown the Tennessee Titans which positions they need to draft round by round. After combing through that research, I am pretty nervous about free agency.

See, the thing is that it all boils down to the Titans being able to do two of these three things before the first round of the NFL Draft rolls around:

1. Keep Jack Conklin

2. Find a starting caliber cornerback

3. Find a starting caliber EDGE

If they can’t do that, then they are going to have to take a low percentage shot of finding a good player at one of those positions in the later rounds and bypassing the best talent in this draft.

But can the Titans really afford to keep Ryan Tannehill, Derrick Henry, Jack Conklin, and then go out and get a true starting caliber EDGE or CB? I think they can, but it is going to be a tight squeeze on the cap and I am not sure that they will make it.

So, I went through the roster and tried to find some moves that the Titans could make that would open up more cap room for them…I only found three.

But, if the Titans could pull off all three it would give them something close to $20 million in extra cap for 2020 while only losing one player to a trade.
