Adoree Jackson return could prove huge for Tennessee Titans vs Baltimore Ravens
By Will Lomas
Tennessee Titans need their former first round pick at cornerback to play like he has shown in the past.
Adoree Jackson’s return was a big boost for the Tennessee Titans vs the New England Patriots, but it will be even more important this week vs the Baltimore Ravens.
When you look at the Ravens offense, it is easy to be impressed by the pure explosiveness that they have. The weird thing is that their ideal offense is to play with three tight ends on the field, and while they may not all be lined up on the line, it is still big, physical guys who can be moved around and who can catch.
So in a game where tight ends are going to be all over the field, you may be curious why Adoree Jackson is a key player.
For starters, while the Ravens do love their tight ends they also love the game breaking ability of their rookie receiver Hollywood Brown. When he has been on the field, he has been incredibly dynamic for them which matches his college film from Oklahoma.
The big knock on him was his durability concerns with his slight frame and post season injury in college, but when he makes it to the field he is averaging a touchdown every other game played.

With all due respect to Logan Ryan, there is only one player on the Titans roster with a chance of being able to cover him one on one and that is Adoree Jackson.
If the Titans can lock Brown up without needing an extra safety just to keep the top on the defense, it gives you a much better chance at dealing with that run heavy offense.
That may be the most obvious reason for Jackson being a featured player in this defense, but maybe just as important is his willingness and ability to close and tackle.
It is hard to find cornerbacks who aren’t afraid to charge at a ball carrier, but Jackson has always been willing to stick his nose in the fan.
This week, he is going to be tasked with coming down and tackling the likes of Lamar Jackson, Mark Andrews, Mark Ingram, Hollywood Brown, and others all who present their own difficulties when they have the ball in their hands.
The health of the Titans is going to be incredibly important with guys like Jayon Brown, Adam Humphries and Khalif Raymond all unknowns before the first practice of the week.
While those questions remain, it is still important to realize that one of the Titans most important players for this game is back and playing at a high level.
