Tennessee Titans defense: Daquan Jones, DT

From the Atlanta Falcons best player to the Tennessee Titans best defensive tackle, Daquan Jones is the defender I am most excited to see on Sunday.

Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown were close given the task they have stopping the power run or the Falcons, and the defensive backs all have tough matchups so it was a close choice. However, the Titans need a playmaker in the middle of the defense this week.

More from Titan Sized

The worst game the Falcons played this year was against the Minnesota Vikings because of how destructive that defensive front was. The offensive line for the Falcons has been deceptively bad, and while they haven’t allowed a lot of sacks they are still allowing pressure from nearly everywhere.

With Chris Lindstrom out and the right guard position shaky at best, the Titans need to have someone who can win that one-on-one matchup consistently. Jurrell Casey has struggled to do that so far this year and Isaiah Mack was considered, but Jones is where the smart money is right now.

Will the Titans actually bring five or more defenders this week? Or will they continue to bring very little pressure and try to force Atlanta to complete passes on 3rd and 13 like they have tried and failed against every other team they have faced

Either way, Jones will be key.
