The Tennessee Titans make a quiet, but interesting signing.

According to recent reports, the Tennessee Titans are bringing back one of the more interesting names from the preseason: Hroniss Grasu.

While all eyes were on Kevin Pamphile, Aaron Stinnie, Jamil Douglas and Corey Levin, it would be easy to miss Grasu.

The former Oregon center and 3rd round pick in 2015 wore #52 and played center, so it would be easy for you to confuse him with Corey Levin (#62) if you weren’t looking closely.

I’m not saying he should start or anything, but if you gave me the option of looking at Stinnie, Douglas or Grasu I would go with Grasu.

In part because he is a great fit for this offense and he looked really smooth in space and when reach blocking in the preseason. The power and technique are question marks because the only thing that is consistent in the preseason is your ability as an athlete in space.

Still, he has a connection with Marcus Mariota which he talked about this summer:

"“And being around Marcus, it’s been great, too. He is obviously my best friend, one of the best teammates I’ve ever had. He is nice enough to let me stay with him. Marcus is family to me. He is like my brother, and his entire family is like a second family to me. … So if I have any kind of question with the offense, he is always there to answer it. Just being around him again, it’s been great.”"

More importantly though he is another guy who can play in the middle of that offensive line and with Nate Davis and Kevin Pamphile apparently as question marks right now, the Titans need all the help they can get.

Of the free agents out there right now, Grasu is the only one who:

-We have seen in a situational comparable to the other iOL on the Titans roster.

-Has experience with this coaching staff.

-Is a good fit for this system.

-Has chemistry with Marcus Mariota.

You aren’t going to get a perfect player in free agency at this point so if they can check off more than a few boxes and if they are a fit for your team then bring them in if you need to bolster a position.
