Winner: Isaiah Mack, DT

Has there been a more impressive defensive tackle for the Tennessee Titans this year than Mack? You could make a case for Daquan Jones who has definitely been solid, but there are times where Mack seems unblockable.

His ability to win with initial quickness, leverage and power remind me a lot of Jurrell Casey and if he can be even half of that going forward he has to make this team right?

For a long time fans thought that Austin Johnson would eventually break out and prove worthy of his 2nd round selection. Then there was a carousel of free agent nose tackles that ranged from average to bad.

This year it looked like Brent Urban could be that guy, but it seems like he is more suited to be a 5-tech or a 4i. While Matt Dickerson and Amani Bledsoe seem like potential longshots to make the roster, Mack seems like a true diamond in the rough that should not only make this team, but round out the DT depth chart behind Jurrell Casey, Jeffery Simmons and Daquan Jones.

With all the talk about rookies not doing anything great in practice or preseason so far, don’t forget Mack on that list because while Jon Robinson didn’t spend a draft pick on him Mack is still a part of that class.
