Defense looks great

Quotes from 2018 alert: The Tennessee Titans defense is amazing.

I think we have all become a little numb to it, but man this defense can be fun and on paper it seems to have such a high floor and a much higher ceiling.

Today was a day to remind everyone of exactly what they could do.

There were several sacks and throw aways today because no one could get open against the Titans defense, which is scary to think about when you consider how easily Corey Davis and Adam Humphries have been able to beat everyone recently.

When they want to, this defense can turn it up to “11” and do a lot of damage.

While Delanie Walker and Derrick Henry didn’t play today, neither did Jurrell Casey or Cameron Wake so both teams were playing without good players.

You have to love the balance of offense winning in certain situations and the defense winning in certain situations when it matches up with your ideas of what the team would be this season.

The Titans defense should win their matchup with the offense in normal 11-on-11 because of how talented and deep that side of the ball is. However, in short down and red zone situations you shouldn’t be able to top Corey Davis, Delanie Walker, Anthony Firkser, and Adam Humphries unless you get some quick QB pressure.

Some people will paint this as a negative, but I love the fact that either side could have a big day but we pretty much know what each side is going to be.
