Tennessee Titans take conservative injury approach.

Mike Vrabel‘s Tennessee Titans are in the business of winning games, not putting on a fun show.

Preseason football is just an elevated scrimmage, but you still want to see the best guys out there for a little bit if they are healthy. Mike Vrabel disagrees.

Jim Wyatt is tweeting out players that won’t play and the list as long as it is disappointing.

Corey Davis, WR

-Nate Davis, RG (injury)

Rodger Saffold, LG

Delanie Walker, TE

Harold Landry, EDGE

Cameron Wake, EDGE

Derrick Henry, RB (injury)

-A.J. Brown, WR (injury)

So the Tennessee Titans don’t have some of their most exciting playmakers, but at the very least that should mean more chances for young guys trying to make the team and making an impression.

As far as we know, the only injuries are the players with the word “injury” next to them on that list above. From what we know those injuries aren’t serious, but being cautious is probably the right call.

Again, this is the right decision even though it isn’t especially fun.

One thing to watch is that Marcus Mariota will be on the field without his starting left guard, so the man who fills that slot will be important. I am really curious to see if they go with the most experienced offensive line option (Lewan, Jones, Levin, Pamphile, Conklin) or if they go with a younger line with less change up (Lewan, Stinnie, Jones, Pamphile, Conklin).

Either way, I now expect more runs from the first team offense than passes with the loss of protection.

If any more notable scratches or injuries need to be discussed I will be updating this with any more information we get. As of right now though, most of the starters will still be on the field as will guys like Marcus Mariota, Adam Humphries and nearly the entire defense.
