Other injuries and notes
For me, if you are on the injured list right now and you aren’t a veteran player getting an extra day off, you are getting scratched for the game on Thursday.
John Glennon said that those players today were:
Henry and Brown were obvious scratches and Herron hasn’t practiced in a week, but the other names are discouraging.
I listed D’Andre Walker as one of the players to watch in the first week of the preseason (linked below). I hadn’t seen his name listed on the injury report until yesterday and then it also popped up again today.
Not knowing exactly what the injury is, the pessimistic mindset has to be that he could have aggravated an old injury from the predraft process or that he is struggling with something else that has gotten worse.
Going the other way, I guess you could say that Vrabel wants him to rest some and get to true 100% before going into the game on Thursday.

So instead of him getting practice reps for a game he wasn’t going to play in, the HC decided to completely rest him and then give him a long week of practice next week before going into the Week 2 game at home.
Also, Davis is now on his third consecutive missed practice and you can add in the scrimmage as another missed day too. I am almost to the point of abandoning whatever lead he had on the right guard position battle and turning that into a two-man battle between Kevin Pamphile and Ben Jones.
Basically, if Corey Levin is good enough in the preseason Week 1 game the Titans might just scrap Davis from the starters entirely and then just try those options out in the remaining games.
