Tennessee Titans practice 48 hours before the first preseason game.

The Tennessee Titans play the Philadelphia Eagles in just 48 hours.

As potential scratches and likely starters are starting to take shape, even if it is just for this game.

What stood out in what is potentially the final practice before the Tennessee Titans game vs the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday.

Derrick Henry and A.J. Brown updates

We know what Henry is dealing with and until this draws into him missing camp post-Week 2 of the preseason, I am going to just chalk this up as them being cautious with him.

I would love to see him on the field getting chemistry and timing down with an offensive line that will have 4 of 5 guys who are new starters or in different spots than they were in Week 17 of 2018, but who knows if we will get that soon.

Similarly, A.J. Brown is doing the same thing he has done and I am just calling that conservative treatment too.

With Brown it is obviously more urgent and I can’t stress enough how much Marcus Mariota depends on chemistry and trust with his receivers. He seemingly couldn’t miss Rishard Matthews or Delanie Walker in 2017 and in 2018 he was money to Corey Davis, but other targets weren’t as consistent.

Hopefully this is over after the Eagles preseason game and he can at least start practicing for Week 2 and the potentially play in one or two preseason games before the season starts.
