Who is starting for the Tennessee Titans?

And just like that we have the first depth chart of the 2019 season revealed for the Tennessee Titans.

This isn’t one of those big reveals like you see with the NFL schedule release (yet), but it is still important to see where everyone is ranked coming into the first preseason game.

One big note is that it seems like injuries aren’t being accounted for if you are expecting the player to be back for the regular season.

My quick notes and takeaways are below:

-It is really strange to see Cody Hollister listed as the primary backup to Corey Davis, even stranger is that Taywan Taylor is listed as the starter opposite Davis. Tajae Sharpe is right behind him, but I am curious to see if there is anything at all to that.

-Don’t read too much into the offensive line depth chart because as you can see all the rookies are in “prove it” positions on the third (or lower) position on the chart.

Anthony Firkser is in a tier above MyCole Pruitt despite there being some thoughts that Pruitt could be kept over Firkser if the Titans only wanted to keep three tight ends. Pretty important note.

Sharif Finch is listed as the backup behind Cameron Wake. I had heard that Wake was going to be a “starter” but I just don’t believe it. While Wake’s name may stay on top of the depth chart for a while, I expect Finch to outsnap Wake on a week-to-week basis.

Mike Jordan is listed ahead of Tye Smith at cornerback which is not what I expected to see at all.

Adam Humphries is listed as the starting punt returner and Darius Jennings is the starter at kick returner. Behind both of them is Adoree Jackson with Kalif Raymond scheduled to be the third punt returner and Dion Lewis as the third kick returner.

David Fluellen listed on the depth chart behind Jeremy McNichols on the running back chart. With no “fullback” position on the depth chart I wonder if they would have listed him there as the starter.

All in all, there weren’t any big surprises at starter (other than maybe Finch being behind Wake) but there were some notes on the depth chart that will be interesting to monitor going forward.
