Tennessee Titans scrimmage winners and losers

Loser: Backup offensive line
So, this is a minor grip because you have four offensive tackles divided into two teams which means you are getting the fourth best OT at right tackle. That is already bad enough, but then Jack Conklin was rested and Nate Davis also had the night off.
That means that you are now down to your fifth best offensive tackles and guards blocking for the Tennessee Titans and it isn’t fair to really judge them too harshly.

However, it seemed like there was a ton of pressure late in the game and that combined with the wet weather just destroyed any momentum the offenses could have had.
Obviously there was no tackling so Marcus Mariota wasn’t hit, but if it was on game day and some of these backups were in there would be no way to run this offense at all.
The Tennessee Titans need to make sure they have tricks to neutralize pressure and help out those linemen in their back pocket just in case when the season starts. The addition of Jack Conklin is going to help obviously, but that level of pressure just can’t happen too often.
At one point there was a stretch where Marcus Mariota was sacked twice in a row, then there was an incompletion to UDFA Anthony Ratliff-Williams, and then he was forced to throw a pass quickly which was almost picked off by Rashaan Evans.
