Tennessee Titans Kevin Byard snubbed to no one’s surprise.

In an offseason full of Tennessee Titans disrespect, it should surprise no one that there would be one more twist of the knife before the preseason officially started.

I don’t know how hard it is to make this list, but for some reason there is a fundamental misunderstanding by those selecting the players on what should put you in the top-100.

Is it production? Alright then Kevin Byard should be in the top-10 because very few players have been as productive as he has over the last two years and no one has been as productive in terms of interceptions.

Do you need to have highlights? What about having two separate plays to preserve a shut out against the Giants in New York (an interception inside the 10 and a PBU on 4th and goal).

Or you could stay in the NFC East and go to that game changing interception against the Dallas Cowboys that propelled the Tennessee Titans to a win on Monday Night Football.

Is it accolades or leadership? Byard just became the highest paid safety in the NFL and he has already been a 1st team All-Pro despite only being in the NFL for three years and only starting for two.

The only defense is that for some reason the people picking thought that there were just too many great players for him to make the list? Don’t worry, I can disprove that quick here are six players who had no business being on the list ahead of Kevin Byard:

-Every safety

End of list.

Every other player you could make an argument for because you can argue the value of different positions around the NFL being more or less important. What you can’t argue (correctly) is that coming out of the 2018 season, Kevin Byard has proven that he is the best safety in the NFL with any proven consistency.

I have no more words for how utterly disappointing this list is. If you can’t figure out how to get it right with the judges you have, then find new judges or shut down the series.
