Take a break from Tennessee Titans news for a minute.

The Tennessee Titans are right in the middle of their longest stretch of practices for the entire season.

You know what that means? Time to check out a 2020 NFL Mock Draft.

In all seriousness, with all the suspensions and potential injuries around the league (but specifically the Tennessee Titans) why not take a break and look at a quick 2020 NFL Mock Draft from FanSided?

Surely you are interested at least a little bit if you clicked on this, so let’s look at the Titans selection.

(Disclaimer, don’t worry too much about the draft position that is based on gambling odds)

12. Titans – Terrell Lewis, OLB/EDGE, Alabama

"The pass rush is vital in the NFL, but even more so, when you play in a division with Andrew Luck and Deshaun Watson on the schedule four times each season. The Titans could look at quarterback with Marcus Mariota entering free agency, but assuming he sticks, look for Mike Vrabel to address the pass rush with the top edge rusher Terrell Lewis."

So the one thing we know is that this definitely won’t be the pick. Not to bash Lewis, but Jon Robinson doesn’t draft guys who weren’t productive for multiple seasons and the one time he did was seemingly on the behest of Dick LeBeau. That player was Kevin Dodd by the way.

Knowing that, let me change the pick to something that makes more sense. Based on the players that were left I would go with…

Yetur Gross-Matos EDGE, Penn State

The Tennessee Titans don’t necessarily need an EDGE if the trio of Harold Landry, Cameron Wake and Sharif Finch can get the job done this year. Help should be on the way with D’Andre Walker taking the year to develop into an EDGE3 type player.

However, it is easy to see why Jon Robinson would like Gross-Matos.

Despite being a true sophomore, YGM has already played in 23 games and last year alone he tallied 20 TFLs and 8 sacks.

At 6’5, 270 lb. it is easy to see why teams will be very interested in him based on his size and production alone, but when you watch the film you see a decisive, long-limbed playmaker who hustles and wins…a lot.

I also thought about Wisconsin IOL Tyler Biadasz because he is probably the nation’s best OL at any position and he is one of the most impressive centers to come out of the draft in a long time.

But, EDGE>iOL based on positional value and having a potential replacement for Cameron Wake would save them a lot of money down the line if Wake doesn’t make a huge difference on the field.
