You are being awfully quiet.

I am happily surprised that Tajae Sharpe and Brent Urban are both making noise in camp, but when someone is getting more buzz it means that someone else isn’t.

These are the players that I was expecting to hear more about by now.

Amani Hooker, S/SCB

For all of the OTA hype behind Hooker, we really haven’t heard much about him so far. Some other DBs have been named here or there, but really it is the staring-five DBs that are dominating the conversation.

Any thoughts of Hooker pushing Logan Ryan this year were way too rushed, but that should read more as a positive for Ryan and not a negative on Hooker.

Derrick Roberson and D’Andre Walker, EDGE

The Tennessee Titans top-3 EDGE always seemed like they should be pretty clear based on what we saw from them in 2018. Harold Landry should be one starter and some combination of Sharif Finch and Cameron Wake should start opposite him.

So far that is exactly what we have seen, and the next man up is Kamalei Correa. It is a little bit surprising that UDFA Derrick Roberson and 5th round pick D’Andre Walker haven’t made a bigger splash in the last two practices.

I expect to see a lot of both of them in the preseason as they compete to try to win the other EDGE job.

Taywan Taylor, WR

There have been notes here and there, but I really expected the second unit on offense to pop more early in camp.

It seems like Corey Davis, Adam Humphries and Tajae Sharpe are the three starting WRs with A.J. Brown out, meaning that Taylor is probably the WR5 on this offense. That means that he should be playing a lot with new Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill.

Those two against backup defenders should be able to do some really nice things given the flashes we have seen from both in the past. I keep expecting to see Taylor’s name start trending on my timeline, but so far it is still quiet.
