Former Tennessee Titans linebacker Will Compton has responded to Bernard Pollard calling left tackle Taylor Lewan a liar.

After former Tennessee Titans defensive back Bernard Pollard called Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan a liar for saying he didn’t knowingly take a banned substance, Lewan’s friend, podcast mate and former linebacker Will Compton came to his defense.

Lewan, who is facing a four-game suspension for taking the banned substance ostarine, claims he didn’t knowingly take the substance in a video admission posted earlier on Wednesday. Lewan even said he passed a polygraph test to prove he isn’t lying.

Pollard took no time in jumping right on that and called Lewan a liar in a video posted on Twitter.

Compton immediately came to the defense of his former teammate and Bussin’ with the Boys podcast mate Lewan, saying Pollard’s take is “100 percent wrong”:

Pollard is somewhat known for his hot takes, but isn’t exactly the kind of guy who should be talking about anyone cheating or being suspended for it.

After all, he defended New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, saying the future Hall of Famer should not have faced a suspension for blatantly cheating in the Deflategate scandal.

We do not have all the details of this situation, however things are not looking good for Lewan. Despite him intending to appeal his suspension, Lewan’s chances are slim and none of getting it overturned.

If the suspension goes through, Lewan will miss the first four games of the 2019 season, which would be a devastating blow to the Titans. In his place, the Titans will likely put Dennis Kelly at left tackle to start the season.

Lewan’s suspension isn’t official yet, and we’re still waiting on the results of his second sample. The only hope for Lewan and the Titans now is that the “sample B” comes back negative, which could change things for the left tackle.

Stay tuned.
