5. Mo Wilkerson, DL

Wilkerson may not have been a name that you expected to see here, but honestly what position needs an upgrade more than the DT next to Jurrell Casey?

The former New York Jet has the size that Dean Pees likes in defensive linemen but he isn’t just a big guy. During his peak there was a three year stretch where he had 30 sacks which is an amazing statline for a non-EDGE.

Another reason the Titans should want him is his versatility. Some people are worried about Wake’s fit in a 3-4. First of all, the Titans run a 4-man front more often than not and the times when they show traditional 3-front looks are very rare.

However, if that is a concern you have then Wilkerson can help out. With the ability to play inside, 3-tech or 5-tech, you have the options of using him opposite Casey on the DL in 3-man looks. This should give you another rusher and you can have two of these guys on the outside Landry/Correa/Finch/Evans.

He will probably be a cheap, one-year flier and I think that might be the type of the deal the Titans are looking for right now.

Team other than the Titans I want to see him with: Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are a team that is looking for DL help this offseason, but they are also trying to tank so what is the best case scenario for them? Grab a player on a one-year deal who could have a great year and bring you back a comp pick when you let him go next year?

This helps the Titans by taking one team in front of them in the draft, out of the hunt for DL help.
