2nd wave: Starters, not stars.

This is where most of the players that hit free agency fall. It makes sense because the team that decided not to sign these guys either thought they could find a bigger impact player in the offseason or they thought they were asking too much money.

On the other hand, if you are a team that is a running back away from a championship, paying a guy more money makes sense. Same thing with teams that have clear holes in their roster that have to be taken care of if they are going to succeed.

I think most teams including the Tennessee Titans are going to get the majority of their notable free agents from this wave.

More from Titan Sized

If you ask PFF what they think about L.A. Rams Center John Sullivan then you probably won’t be very happy if the Titans sign him to be a starter on the offensive line. However, there is a good chance that he is the best or nearly the best zone blocking IOL on the market this year.

Age is an issue at nearly 34 years old, but he should be a perfect fit in this offense moving over from the L.A. Rams. This team needs to find a new center and let Ben Jones move to guard and I would completely understand a move like this.

I may not be giving Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder enough credit, but he seems like the sleeper fringe WR in this free agent class. He has been a sub-package player who has been really productive in the NFL.

The reason he would be such a good fit with Tennessee is because he seems like the perfect WR2 that can slide down and play in the slot when the Titans want to bring in someone like Taywan Taylor to play on the outside.

He is quick and elusive so he is going to be a very solid receiver wherever he goes. However, the other thing that makes him attractive is that he has shown a lot of promise as a punt returner which is big for the Titans.
