The guys you want for cheap.

I think the best way to summarize the talent in this group is by saying this: if the Titans sign one of these guys and that is it at the wide receiver position then I feel confident saying that they will take a WR on Day 2 of the 2019 NFL Draft at the latest.

The biggest buy low this offseason might be Demaryius Thomas. Sometimes it only takes one thing to change the entire perception of a player and for a WR to injure his Achilles tendon at 31 years old really scares me.

I think it is going to be a challenge for him to sign with a team before training camp just because I think he is going to try to get one last contract with some good money and he is in no rush to jump on a roster just to end up in the training room for the next six months. Can a team convince him to buy into the process and take a cheaper deal to be a part of an offense that will use him sparingly and count on him to be the best rotational WR in the NFL?

More from Titans News

This is a project of mine more than anything, but man I am so sad about the career that Kevin White has had. I truly thought that he had all the tools to be a top 10-12 receiver. After leading the nation in receptions his senior year and destroying the combine it looked like he was poised to be a playmaker but injuries have kept him from seeing the field.

If you want a guy to come off of the bench with some upside but durability questions, White may be the best addition you can make.

The Titans haven’t been very efficient passing in the redzone the last two years and the start of Marcus Mariota’s career would suggest that it is more on the scheme and receivers than anything else. Kelvin Benjamin isn’t a guy I love and I think he would be someone who has to looked into as a locker room issue, but he is huge and would give the Titans a jump ball threat in that area.

Bruce Ellington is the last guy who makes the cut for the Tennessee Titans, simply because I think he would have a very defined role. He could be a slot receiver who stays active each week by being the punt returner killing two birds with one stone.
