Tennessee Titans 2019 NFL Draft prospects on display tonight.

The Tennessee Titans are in a playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts tomorrow night, so why not help pass the time by watching some college football.

Over Jon Robinson’s tenure has spent 1st round draft picks on:

2016: Jack Conklin (Playoffs with Michigan State)

2017: Corey Davis (13-1 with Western Michigan)

More from Titans News

2017: Adoree Jackson (10-3 Rose Bowl Champion USC)

2018: Rashaan Evans (National Championship winner Alabama)

It is safe to say that Jon Robinson likes to spend high draft picks on “winners” and he usually wants the dominant presence on that team.

So, with the first round of the college football playoffs tonight who should you be watching from each game? This is a Tennessee Titans specific list focusing primarily on the needs that the Titans have unless it is just some otherworldly talent.

Clemson vs Notre Dame

-Clelin Ferrell EDGE, Clemson

There is very little chance that Ferrell makes it to where the Titans will be picking. The only reason he is on this list is because the rise and upside of some other EDGEs could force a freak incident like what happened last year with Harold Landry.

Ferrell has been a big play machine since starting as a RS Freshman and in the last three years he averages 16 TFLs and 8.5 sacks.

-Christian Wilkins DT, Clemson

Wilkins has also been consistently productive at the college level inside. While he has never had a breakthrough season for sacks but he has been a force in the run game with 11 TFLs per year over the last three.

-Jerry Tillery DT, Notre Dame

While the other two players will probably hear their names called in the first round, I think Tiller is a solid option in round two. He has a huge frame and he is finally figuring out how to use it. The Titans desperately need size on defense and a 6’7 DT certainly helps that.

Alabama vs Oklahoma

-Raekwon Davis DT, Alabama

Quinnen Williams isn’t going to be around when the Titans pick and he probably shouldn’t make it out of the top-3. However, his fellow lineman Raekwon Davis should be available late in the first and probably even in the second.

Davis has had a disappointing year statistically but is another huge body that can move, so there is a chance that a good coaching staff and surrounding talent could make him a great fit in Tennessee.

-Damien Harris RB, Alabama

The Titans need running back help and Harris will likely be a Day 3 selection after being a guy who has spent most of his career rotating. Still, he is very good on special teams and would be a good 3rd RB for Tennessee.

-Cody Ford OT, Oklahoma

Ford is probably one of the potential 1st round picks that you have never heard of. He has a ton of buzz as one of the most athletic offensive linemen in this draft

-Hollywood Brown WR, Oklahoma

Maybe the best fit for the Titans on this list, Brown is an undersized receiver that is just so much faster than everyone else. That isn’t always a guarantee for success, John Ross sticks out in my mind as someone that won primarily with his speed, still this may be the missing part of the Titans offense.

If Brown can get lose against the Alabama secondary then he will probably move directly into first round consideration and the Titans may be in prime position to take him.
