What is the latest on the Tennessee Titans trade rumors?

This is the day, if the Tennessee Titans (or any team really) are going to make a push for the playoffs or even just try and improve their team this is the deadline.

With just hours left on the clock, the Titans are finally being brought up in trade rumors at least tangentially. There are really two things to point to right now:

First, this video from Good Morning Football, where Ian Rapoport finally was the first to publicly mention that the Tennessee Titans (by name) were in the trade market.

That means that the Titans are potentially serious in making a move. At least enough so where they are mentioned by name instead of possibly being one of the “number of other teams” that always gets thrown in at the end of these reports.

The second piece of news is this:

Not exactly a bona fide report, but again the four other teams on this list have been mentioned by name in trade talks for WR, but this is the first time the Titans are being mentioned by name.

More from Titans News

There is definitely more buzz about a potential Titans trade now than at any point in the bye week and up until now, so maybe there is something.

One more small note, and this isn’t really news but it is pretty funny. Golden Tate posted this as more and more rumors develop about a potential trade involving him:

This is a guy who is from Tennessee and has even been linked to a potential trade with the Titans, so maybe where there is smoke there is fire?

Next. Tennessee Titans. dark

I don’t know, I think it is all a little coincidental that a few days ago Tate was sure he wouldn’t be traded and now he posts this on the same day buzz picks up that Tennessee might be talking to other teams about trades.

Weird and exciting, but let’s remember that this team is probably not going to make a trade. But there is more potential now for a move to be made than at any point during Jon Robinson’s tenure as GM (at least during the season).

Let’s see what happens.
