DK Metcalf WR, Ole Miss
vs Southern Illinois
6’3, 225 lb.
Later I will detail a dynamic threat that can line up on the insides and on special teams if you think the Titans should build the offense that way then check him out.
However, it is fair to think that building an offense around two bigger receivers makes sense too. For example, which two CBs in the NFL have the height and length to take on Davis and Metcalf who both top out at 6’3.

Metcalf is more Mike Williams than he is Corey Davis in that he is a guy who doesn’t do a lot after the catch unless he makes a defender slip off of him. Unlike Davis, he won’t be someone you can line up in the slot and know that he can beat slower defenders with speed.
I have some small gripes with Metcalf, but there really aren’t any perfect receivers in this draft. He is a big bodied guy who can win at the catch point and who can make defenders pay if they don’t tackle him correctly.
There is a chance he is the BPA when the Titans roll around and while he isn’t a guy who can do it all, he can be a good in situations especially third downs and the redzone.
