Tennessee Titans could add talent at these 3 spots

What the Tennessee Titans should look for as teams start to clear space on their rosters.

I said earlier that this was the most exciting week of the year in terms of roster development, and since that article the Tennessee Titans have already made a trade.

With EDGE solidified, which other position groups would do well with an addition?

Offensive line

The teams starting OL is great. Bookend All Pro/Pro Bowlers with some good talent in between those two. However, it looks like even at the start of the season they could already have to draw on their depth to win games.

If Jack Conklin isn’t healthy for Week 1 (which I don’t think he will be) then Dennis Kelly will be the starter at right tackle. It will also mean that Tennessee will carry a backup IOL and a backup tackle.

That puts the number at 8 at least to start the season. Kevin Pamphile has had a really bad camp, and the Titans should look to add some depth there. Someone to take that bottom of the roster spot, likely someone athletic who has been in a ZBS before.

Cornerback

The Tennessee Titans top-4 CBs are the best in the NFL. Between Adoree Jackson, Malcolm Butler, Logan Ryan, and LeShaun Sims they have a a type for every WR and they are all highly competitive and effective in the running game.

However, behind that group the Titans have almost nothing after Tye Smith and Kalan Reed were both injured. Now they are missing an extra guy who would be an asset on special teams.

Defensive line

The Tennessee Titans have a decent defensive line that no one should really complain about. They have Jurrell Casey and DaQuan Jones who are a solid pair of 3-4 DEs or 4-3 DTs.

The other starter on the DL is Bennie Logan who has looked really good this season as a NT/1-tech.

It is the depth again that is a question mark. Julius Warmsley and Austin Johnson have been fine, but there no one with up side as an interior pass rusher.

I don’t expect them to find another Jurrell Casey. What I want is someone like Zach Sieler out of Ferris State (had 33 sacks in 39 games) who has upside as a pass rusher from the inside and who just needs time to develop.

Those are the positions I would target, but like always if someone stands out as a talented player the Titans like, I would expect Jon Robinson to pounce.
