How can a Tennessee Titans 2017 1st round draft pick be in the shadows?
After the Tennessee Titans second year cornerback had a “game ending” interception in practice, Adoree Jackson looked at the fans and did a standing back flip.
This is hardly someone in the shadows, but when you look around how often do conversations start with Adoree Jackson when you look at this roster.
When you look at veterans, it is Kevin Byard, Brian Orakpo, Derrick Morgan, Wesley Woodyard, and Jurrell Casey who get the buzz.

When you look at young guys right now the first name that comes up is Harold Landry who looks like he is going to be a player in the NFL.
Even among cornerbacks he gets mentioned third beyond Malcolm Butler and Logan Ryan.
I think all that classifies him as someone in the shadows right now, but people at practice are taking notice of him. Look at what Trevor Sikkema said:
Adoree’ has been incredible today. By far the player of the day from either side. https://t.co/PaM9a6awKd

When you are the player of the day on a field with all of the other Tennessee Titans and the likes of Mike Evans, Gerald McCoy, Desean Jackson, Kwon Alexander, etc. then you are having a great day.

I think it is easy to forget Adoree after he had a year without an interception or a touchdown return, but when you look closer he had a wonderful season.
In a rookie class with Marshon Lattimore and Tre White, Adoree Jackson led in the combination of pass break ups and interceptions.
As a returner, the Titans were 6th in the NFL in return average just a year after being 15th. Jackson did all that despite playing the 2nd most snaps in the NFL last year.
It wasn’t so long ago that Kevin Byard had a great rookie year with no interceptions and look at him now. As Jackson adapts to life in the NFL his athleticism will show up more and more and those pass deflections will turn into interceptions.
That combined with his ability in run support could make him one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL quickly and people in camp are seeing him put it all together.
If that happens and the Titans have three really quality cornerbacks then this defense will be much better than what we are watching in the preseason.
An improved defense and an improved offense could make this team and AFC Championship contender sooner rather than later and the emergence of Adoree Jackson as a star young cornerback would be huge.
